Studies in this field are needed in connection with the occurrence of strains resistant to third-generation cephalosporins as well as low-sensitivity strains. The authors emphasize the importance of mutations in porB, penA, mtrR, penB and ponA genes in the development of Neisseria gonorrhoeae resistance to β-lactam antibiotics and describe the prospects of studying the mosaic structure of the penA gene encoding the РВР2 protein as well as spatial structure of this protein.Neisseria gonorrhoeaepenAmtrRpenBponANeisseria gonorrhoeaeantimicrobial drugsresistancecephalosporinsporBpenAmtrRpenBponA genesmosaic structure of the penA geneантимикробные препаратырезистентностьцефалоспориныгены porBмозаичная структура гена penAбелок РВР2РВР2 protein[Watkins R.C., Hambrick E., Greene J. et al.
