Abstract
The article is written in the form of a discussion. It examines clinical recommendations regarding sexually transmitted infections
(except for syphilis) being the forerunner of the standard published for management of patients from this category. The authors
assess the clinical recommendations in a positive way. They also express their request about introducing certain amendments and
clarifications in the standard at the time of its publication.
