Genetic profile of psoriasis patients
Abstract
The article systematizes information about genetic polymorphisms associated with the risk of psoriasis and psoriatic
arthritis development. Gene variants that are potentially essential for their inclusion in genetic tests were sampled taking
into consideration polymorphism localization. The presented data are sufficient to prepare the genetic profile of psoriatic
patients, forecast the clinical course of the disease and potential efficacy of treatment, and calculate the risk of the
disease development in the patients relatives.

Modern immunochromatographic methods for determination of anti-treponema pallidum antigenantibodies
Abstract
The authors present a review of research publications about clinical significance of using modern
immunochromatographic methods for determination of anti-immunodominant antigen antibodies of syphilis pathogen
Treponema pallidum.
Immunochromatographic sets of chemicals proved to be convenient in use, can be used with a small amount of biological
materials, do not demand any specialized medical equipment, have high sensitivity and specificity, in particular, for
tests with blood serum or plasma samples; when whole blood samples are used, this reduces the method sensitivity.
Immunochromatographic tests are intended for prompt express examination of the population to reveal syphilis patients
under field conditions or at medical institutions consulting primary patients and not having their own clinical laboratories.

Etiology and clinical and epidemiological profile of erosive and ulcerative affections of genitals
Abstract
The authors present data on clinical characteristics of the course of erosive and ulcerative affections on the skin of
genitals in patients who consulted a dermatovenerologist. The authors analyzed factors contributing to the onset of this
pathology and having an effect on the severity of its course. They also studied the composition of microbial associations
present in the discharge from lesion foci. The authors demonstrated the prevalence of a mixed infection as well as
opportunistic microflora in most patients suffering from erosive and ulcerative affections on the skin of genitals.

Differential diagnostics of keloid and hypertrophic scar tissues based on differences in skinsensitivity
Abstract
A study of different types of skin sensitivity in patients with keloid and hypertrophic scar tissues was conducted in order
to optimize clinical diagnostics of scar hypertrophy of the skin. A symmetrical area of unaffected skin was examined as
control. The revealed results suggest a sharp increase of deep skin sensitivity with simultaneous reduction of other types
of sensitivity, which was observed in 97% of subjects, as a new differential sign of keloid scar tissues.

Experience of using ursodeoxycholic acid in complex treatment of patients suffering from atopicdermatitis
Abstract
The authors describe the results of a clinical study of 90 patients suffering from different clinical forms of atopic
dermatitis (AD), who received hepatotropic drugs in combination with ursodeoxycholic acid. A misbalance of cellular and
humoral immunity was revealed in these patients prior to the onset of treatment. The inclusion of ursodeoxycholic acid in
complex treatment of AD contributed to normalization of immunity indices and regression of skin eruptions.

Assessment of the efficacy of antihistamine drugs in complex treatment of chronic itchingdermatoses
Abstract
The authors give a review of current concepts of mechanisms of skin itching development for different types of chronic
dermatoses. The authors also present the results of a study aimed at assessing the efficacy of different 2nd generation
antihistamine drugs used for complex treatment of 83 patients aged 14-73 suffering from different chronic itching
dermatoses (atopic dermatitis, eczema, pruritus, chronic urticaria, progressing psoriasis, lichen acuminatus, contact
allergic dermatitis).
The authors conclude that Glencet (levocetirizine) used in a complex therapy of dermatoses accompanied with itching
can efficiently arrest both subjective itching sensations and objective clinical symptoms of the diseases as well as reliably
(р < 0.001) reduce the term of inpatient care by 4.8 ± 2.3 on average.
Glencet (levocetirizine) is a drug of choice among the 2nd generation antihistamine drugs used for treatment of chronic
skin diseases accompanied with itching.

Current approaches to the external therapy of photodermatoses
Abstract
Remedial measures for photodamages of skin are mainly aimed at elimination of inflammation and subjective sensations
such as burning and itching. Topical corticosteroids remain leading drugs in the external therapy of phototrauma,
phototoxic and photoallergic reactions. Mometasone furoate (Elocom) has high anti-inflammatory and antiallergic
activity. Moreover, the composition of the Elocom cream is based on titanium dioxide, a classical mineral screen,
which makes it possible to use the Elocom cream in case of steroid-sensitive pathology under conditions of high solar
exposure. The Elocom cream has been used in the monotherapy and complex treatment of solar dermatitis, actinic
cheilitis, polymorphous light eruption, discoid lupus erythematosus and actinic prurigo. Regression of manifestations of
solar dermatitis was recorded on Day 1-3 of treatment, and regression of manifestations of actinic cheilitis - during
Week 2 of treatment. The process in case of photoallergic reactions and discoid lupus erythematosus was over during
Week 3-4 of treatment. Substances making a part of the composition of the Elocom cream and having photoprotective
properties make this cream a drug of choice for its use on skin areas subject to solar exposure in case of steroidsensitive
pathology including phototrauma, phototoxic and photoallergic reactions. Besides, photoprotective properties
of the Elocom cream explain why it should be selected for treatment of steroid-sensitive dermatoses becoming more
severe or appearing after solar exposure, in case of localization of eruptions on open skin areas (face, neck, decollete
area, hands, etc.)

Metody korrektsii narusheniy kozhnogo bar'era pri pomoshchikosmeticheskikh sredstv Emolium u beremennykh, bol'nykhatopicheskim dermatitom
Abstract
Results of examination of the skin barrier in 57 pregnant women with atopic dermatitis and 48 dermatologically healthy
pregnant women are presented. In the majority of patients with atopic dermatitis significant disorders of the skin barriers
have been found out both within the lesions and on clinically normal skin. More than a quarter of dermatologically healthy
pregnants demonstrated the lack of skin barriers on the dorsal surface of the hands. Use of complex emollients (gamma
«Emolium») improved characteristics of skin barrier permeability among the individuals with atopic dermatitis.

Methods to improve the efficacy of treatment of inflammatory diseases of small pelvic organsassociated with a mycoplasma infection
Abstract
The authors present the results of examination and treatment of 40 female patients with recurrent urogenital infections,
who had optional and/or obligate anaerobes revealed by bacteriological tests (patients were withdrawn from the study
if Neisseria gonorrhoeae, C. trachomatis, Treponema pallidum or Trichomonas vaginalis were revealed). The patients
received treatment with doxycycline or josamycin depending on the results of determination of sensitivity of cultivated
microorganisms. Evident positive dynamics of clinical manifestations was recorded as a result of use of these drugs.
Normalization of biocenosis and absence of opportunistic flora were recorded for 38 patients.

Lavomax - new potential of the complex therapy of genital herpes
Abstract
The goal of this study was to assess clinical efficacy and safety of Lavomax and to provide pathogenetic grounds for its
use in the complex therapy of patients suffering from genital herpes. The study subjects were 64 patients suffering from
genital herpes.
Their diagnosis was verified on the basis of ELISA and PCR results. Immunoassays revealed various disorders of immune
homeostasis and natural resistance. These results confirm that there are pathogenetic grounds to use Lavomax in the
complex therapy of genital herpes. Complex treatment with the use of Lavomax normalizes immune homeostasis and
quickly reduces clinical manifestations of herpes significantly reducing the frequency and duration of recurrences of the
disease.
