Efficiency research of the comprehensive hair loss treatment
Abstract
Scope. To determine the therapeutic potency of telogen effluvium complex therapy and androgenetic alopecia. Materials and methods. There are presented results on treatment of 45 patients with telogen hair loss (15 women) and androgenetic alopecia (15 men and 15 women) who were divided into two groups depending on the method of treatment: the main group and the control group. Patients of the main group got pharmaceutical treatment (homeopathic medicine, a L-cysteine + B vitamins preparation) and local therapy (biomimetic peptides-based lotion on the skin of the hairy part of head). The patients in the control group received a similar pharmaceutical treatment but with no applying of biomimetic peptide lotion to the skin of the hairy part of head (scalp). Before and after the therapy the computer-assisted hair and scalp diagnostics were conducted to the fixed zones with permanent marks. The overview photographs of the scalp before the treatment and at follow-up visits were made for the purpose of the follow-up clinical performance evaluation. Results. The computer-assisted hair and scalp diagnostics results analysis of the patients in the study and control groups proved the complex alopecia treatment to be effective.

Preventing of transfusion syphilis
Abstract
Goal of the study. To study the prevalence of syphilis markers in donors in the Russian Federation, and to evaluate the effectiveness of measures to prevent blood transfusion syphilis and other bloodborne infections in the Blood Service in Russia. Materials and methods. Performance analysis of sectoral statistical surveys Russian Ministry of Health in the form number 39, «Report of the station, department of blood transfusion, hospital blood leading procurement» and the explanatory notes to them for the period from 2009 to 2013. Analysis of the results of screening donated blood for markers of syphilis. Results. It was found that the incidence of syphilis markers in donors in the whole of Russia was significantly (p < 0,05) decreased (from 0.79% in 2009 to 0.49% in 2013). However, there was heterogeneity in the proportion of donors with markers of syphilis in different regions of the Russian Federation. (From 0.68 to 0.35%). In 2013, the causative agent of syphilis markers are more often detected in donors of the North Caucasus and Siberian Federal Districts, seldom in donors in the North-Western and Urals Federal District. Hence, there remains a certain risk of transfusion transmission of syphilis. In recent years, widely implemented method viral inactivation of plasma and platelet concentrate. In 2013, the procedure viral inactivation subjected to 8% of the total issued for transfusion platelet concentrate. Conclusion. There remains a certain risk of transfusion transmission of syphilis. Further implementation of the methods of inactivation of pathogens in Blood Service of Russia will also contribute to reducing the risk of blood-borne transmission of Treponema pallidum.

Influence of natural factors Saki lake combined with “Berlition® 600” (Thioctic acidi) on immunoregulatory processes taking into account morphological changes of skin in patients with plaque psoriasis
Abstract
Objective. To study the effect of peloids Saki Lake and brine, combined with the drug “Berlition® 600” on immunoregulatory processes based on morphological and functional changes of the skin in patients with plaque psoriasis. Materials and methods. The study involved 90 patients with plaque psoriasis mild to moderate severity. The study group included - 45 patients receiving therapeutic mud treatments, and the brine baths in conjunction with the “Berlition® 600” in the control group - 45 patients treated with mud baths and RPMA. All patients using flow cytometry laser defined subpopulations of T-lymphocytes. The concentration of Ig A, M and G in the blood was determined by mikroturbidimetricheskim with monospecific antisera; proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory cytokines (IL-1a, IL-2, IL-8, IL-10, TNF-α) was measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Immunohistochemistry Skin biopsy were studied with the definition of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ T-lymphocytes. Results and discussion. Patients in both treatment groups revealed an imbalance of T and B-cell immunity to the reduction in the number of helper-inductor (CD4+) and cytotoxic (CD8+) subpopulations of T-L in peripheral blood and increase in CD3+, with a predominance of CD8+ in psoriatic infiltrate amid overproduction of cytokines. Procedures for medical mud and the brine baths in combination with the drug “Berlition® 600” has a marked immunomodulatory effect due normalitsatsiey of T-cell immunity and reduction of the balance of cytokine profile, “clinical cure” and “significant improvement” reached 45 (100%) patients, the index regression PASI- 96,7 ± 1,3% DLQI-86 ± 2,1%. Conclusions. Peloids, balneotherapy in Lake Saki in combination with the drug “Berlition® 600” has a high clinical efficacy due to immunomodulatory, antiproliferative and anti-inflammatory effects and can be recommended as a differentiated, immunomodulatory therapy in patients with plaque psoriasis mild to moderate severity.

Erythemato-telangiectatic rosacea: analysis of effectivity of treatment by flavonoid-rich topical agents
Abstract
Rosacea is a common non-infectious disease with intricate aetiology involving endogenous, systemic or local, and environmental factors. Vascular changes may play a major role in rosacea pathogenesis. Chrysanthellum indicum extract contains a unique combination of component which has a beneficial effect on vascular wall permeability and increases the mechanical resistance of capillaries. The aim of the study is to investigate clinical and epidemiologic features of rosacea as well as to evaluate the efficacy and tolerability of external medication - flavonoid-rich plant extract-based cream Ruboril - in patients with erythemato-telangiectatic subtype of rosacea. Material and methods. We observed 52 patients (16 male and 36 female) aged from 23 to 69 with erythemato-telangiectatic subtype of rosacea. The diagnosis was established on the base of clinical presentation with regard to major and minor diagnostic criteria. In order to evaluate the efficacy of topical therapy with Ruboril cream a scale from 0 to 3 was used assessing the severity grade of erythema and teleangiectasias before treatment and after the 4th, 8th and 12th week of therapy. Results. Women were more often affected than men (69%). Patients of the age group from 40 years prevailed (75%). Fitzpatrick skin phototype II was revealed in 30 (58%) of patients. The most common provoking factors were meteorological (77%), emotional stress (67%), sauna/hot baths or alcohol (66%), hot drinks (48%). The prevailing areas of affection were cheeks (98%), forehead (54%), chin (48%), nose (52%). Moderate erythema was observed in 29 (56%) of patients, severe erythema in 15 (29%). Moderate grade of telangiectasias was registered in 30 (58%) of patients, numerous telangiectasias in 16 (31%). Topical application of cream Ruboril allowed to achieve good immediate results: the severity of erythema was reduced by 63%, the manifestation of telangiectasias decreased by 63%. Conclusion. Clinico-epidemiologic features of patients with erythemato-telangiectatic subtype of rosacea are as follows: erythematous and telangiectatic eruption on the cheeks, nose, and chin, weather and emotional influences, predominance of the female gender, skin phototype II, age > 40 years. The external medication Ruboril showed its high efficacy and safety in the treatment of patients with erythemato-telangiectatic subtype of rosacea which allowed to achieve good immediate results with erythema severity reduction of 63% and the decrease in the manifestation of telangiectasias of 63%.

The role of antihistamines in chronic actinic dermatitis treatment
Abstract
Inveterate actinic dermatitis is an immunologically mediated photodermatosis characterized by itchy eczematous dermhelminthiasis exposed to sunlight. The disease proceeds in the same way as the atopic eczema or atopic dermatitis. The treatment of patients with inveterate actinic dermatitis is similar to the treatment of patients with atopic dermatitis and eczema. Administration of the modern antihistaminic preparation desloratadine (Aerius) in the treatment has a positive effect on the skin process relief and on some cellular and humoral immunity factors.
