Malignant skin neoplasms: analysis of the incidence rate in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, problems of prevention and improvement of early diagnostics
Abstract
The authors present the incidence and mortality rates caused by skin cancer in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. They analyze the reasons explaining the growth in the incidence rate for malignant skin neoplasms as well as ways to improve early diagnostics and prevention of skin tumors.

Up-to-date methods of allergy diagnostics used for children suffering from atopic dermatitis
Abstract
Timely and high-quality diagnostics of IgE-mediated sensibilization can greatly optimize the therapy for children suffering from
atopic dermatitis. In practice, physicians often come across problems of selection of the rational method for examination and
interpretation of obtained results. This review reflects the current approaches to this problem.

Prospects of using proteome technologies in the diagnostics of sexually transmitted infections and skin diseases
Abstract
The article presents data from the literature describing up-to-date syphilis diagnostics methods used in the Russian Federation. It
also describes main proteome techniques and gives the results of applying proteome technologies in the diagnostics of diseases
including infectious ones, and prospects and opportunities for using direct proteome profiling to develop a new method for syphilis
diagnostics are analyzed.

On the role of dendritic cells in the pathogenesis of vitiligo
Abstract
The authors give the results of immunohistochemistry studies of the skin of 16 healthy volunteers and 16 patients suffering from
vulgar vitiligo with the determination of the contents of immature (CD1a+) and mature (CD83+) subpopulations of dendritic
cells (DCs) as well as CD4+ and CD8+ lymphocytes in the epidermis and perivascular infiltrates of the derma. They revealed an
increased quantity of CD1a+ and CD83+ DCs in areas of depigmented, peripheral and perifocal normally pigmented skin of vitiligo
foci. DCs with the CD1a+ phenotype were revealed both in the epidermis and in the derma while DCs with the CD83+ phenotype
were revealed in the derma only. A higher quantity of CD4+ and CD8+ lymphocytes than in healthy volunteers was also revealed
along with the increased contents of DCs in all three areas of vitiligo foci. The authors established a strong correlation between
the quantity of CD83+ DCs and CD4+ lymphocytes in the depigmentation zone (r=0.84; Р<0.001). The data obtained prove the
involvement of CD1a+ and CD83+ DCs in the pathogenesis of vitiligo and their participation in the initiation of T-cell response in
the affection foci.

Assessment of the cytokine profile in psoriasis patients against the background of an immune-modulating therapy
Abstract
The authors examined the clinical effect and dynamics of immunological indices (IL-1, IL-6, TNF-, IFN-) at the progressing
and stationary stages of psoriasis with the administration of Stemokin®. A reliable reduction of IL-1, TNF- и IFN- was observed
against the background of treatment and was accompanied with an evident clinical effect. Two variants of the immune system
response were revealed for the complex therapy.

Role of correction of metabolic disorders in the complex therapy of acne in women
Abstract
The prevalence and genetic origin of acne explain the urgency of searching for new dermatosis treatment methods. The occurrence
of acne in women is stipulated by hyperandrogynous conditions and is often accompanied with insulin resistance. The
administration of Metformin in the complex therapy of acne in women with insulin resistance contributes to considerable improvement
of the clinical course of dermatosis and achievement of remission for a greater number of patients.

Clinical, molecular and genetic studies of efficacy and safety of using UV irradiation for psoriasis patients
Abstract
The authors give the results of clinical, molecular and genetic studies of efficacy and safety of treatment of 87 patients suffering
from extensive psoriasis with the use of UV irradiation of different spectral ranges. They showed that the administration of a course
of treatment with the use of the PUVA therapy or narrowband medium-wave UV therapy with the wavelength of 311 nm does not
result in the development of any clinically significant genetic mutations associated with the DNA excision repair system. They
revealed that the GC genotype of the XPC gene in the 32828 site and CC genotype of the XPF gene in the 27945 site may
be predictors of a pronounced therapeutic effect in treatment of patients with the use of phototherapy methods. The authors
obtained data confirming a possible protective role of T>C polymorphism in the 27945 site of the XPF gene in the development of
phototoxic reactions when psoriasis patients undergo an UV therapy.

Clinical recommendations of the Russian Associationof Dermatologists and Venereologists Dermatovenerology2008 (Part 2. Sexually transmitted infections)
Abstract
The article is written in the form of a discussion. It examines clinical recommendations regarding sexually transmitted infections
(except for syphilis) being the forerunner of the standard published for management of patients from this category. The authors
assess the clinical recommendations in a positive way. They also express their request about introducing certain amendments and
clarifications in the standard at the time of its publication.

Particular features of the clinical picture of discoid lupus erythematosus in children
Abstract
The authors describe two cases of discoid lupus erythematosus in girls who were treated in an inpatient clinic and had a good
result. No diagnosis had been made for the patients for several years, and the therapy has been inefficient before because of
particular features of the clinical picture (absence of follicular hyperkeratosis and evident atrophy in the foci).

Prevalence and clinical manifestations of cheilitis in children suffering from atopic dermatitis.
Abstract
The authors present the results of studying clinical manifestations of cheilitis in 143 children suffering from atopic dermatitis. The
severe stage of cheilitis was observed in 42.7% of children, the medium to severe stage - in 35.7%, the mild stage - in 21.6%.
The authors revealed more frequent development of episodes of bronchial obstruction (55.3%) and recurrent respiratory diseases
(69.2%) in such children. They also revealed defects of barrier, anticolonial and microbicide functions of the secretory immunity
of the patients oral cavity. The administration of Imudon in the complex therapy produced a good therapeutic effect in 77.4% of
children and reduced the frequency of development of acute respiratory diseases.

A case of argyria of professional origin
Abstract
The authors present data of an examination of a patient aged 70 suffering from a relatively rare dermatosis - argyria. The diagnosis
was confirmed by professional case history, results of the histological examination of the skin and determination of the silver
content in the biological environments and hair. The authors describe problems with diagnostics and treatment of the disease.

Assessment of the clinical efficacy of the administration of Phosphogliv in complex treatment of psoriasis patients
Abstract
The article presents the results of a study of the clinical efficacy of the administration of Phosphogliv for psoriasis and its effect on
the functional and biochemical parameters as well as patients quality of life. The authors established that the administration of
Phosphogliv results in a considerable improvement of the course of extensive psoriasis and reduction in the activity of the inflammatory
process contributing to the normalization of the lipid composition of the blood serum at the expense of the lipotropic and
membrane stabilizing action.

Abstract
The author presents data from the current scientific literature related to etiology of inflammatory diseases of the urogenital system.
The author also presents the results of a complex clinical, laboratory and instrumental study of 32 patients with non-complicated
mixed infections of the urogenital tract and assessment of the efficacy of their therapy with the use of Safocid (a combined drug).
